Find Out More About SLIDE Project

The SLIDE (SchooL Internationalization & DEvelopment) Project will be implemented over a 24 months period by Liceul Tehnologic Petricani, jointly with two schools from Poland and Turkey and with other 3 organizations with different types and high level of experitze from Belgium, UK and Italy.
Four of the total number of the partners (Liceul Tehnologic Petricani, IHF-Belgium, GoDigitAll -UK and Tungay Ciner-Turkey) are already successfully working together into another partnership (a KA202 VET Partnership called EmploVET - Employability & Workplace Skills for VET Students). During work sessions and informal activities we undertook into this project, we identified common needs and interests and decided to set-up the SLIDE Project.
The main aim of SLIDE Project is to support unexperienced and de-favorized schools to develop and increase the quality of the educational services they offer by making use of internationalization and digitalization, to help them embed creativity into they day-by-day practice through simple and accessible, yet highly effective tools, and, most important, make use of those tools to reduce ESL and support vulnerable students.
The main focus of the project is to make use of internationalization to support schools to meet the needs of disadvantaged/vulnerable learners.
Project objectives:
- To support defavorized schools to embed internationalization, digitalization and creativity into their day by day activities, by developing 3 highly practical and accessible interactive resources;
-To support at least 10 rural schools over the implementation of the project to form internationalization teams ;
-To provide schools working with defavorized students with necessary knowledge and tools to integrate them into international activities;
Target groups are mainly represented by rural schools, schools who have no ICT technician, no experience with internationalization or digital tools, defavourized schools, schools working with groups at risk.
he final beneficiaries, even with no specific experience, will be able to easily develop and implement their own internationalization strategy, create an internationalization team within their institution, learn effective leadership and team working and also elaborate and put in place a digitalization strategy.

SLIDE School Digital Development & Creativity Embedding

On-line training for teachers and school managers will help beneficiaries understand how they can use the toolkits to develop their organizations, increase the quality of teaching and learning, empower vulnerable learners, process and upgrade their own skills.

SLIDE Internationalization Team Toolkit

Is an all in one tool to help schools self-evaluate their problem areas, set-up an internationalization team and equip their teachers with the skills they need. Moreover, will allow them to learn real leadership and effectiveness from actors operating into the private sector. It will also help them equip their staff with the knowledge and skills they need to start or improve the already existing the internationalization process.
A key focus point of this product will be the integration into the internationalization strategy and process of measures to help vulnerable students/students at risk of ESL/disadvantaged learners;

SLIDE Digitalization & Creativity Toolkit

will provide schools with all they need to turn into a highly creative and digitalized organization even with very limited resources, and also to creatively use these tools to empower and support students at risk of ESL/vulnerable students. It will also help schools easily equip their staff with the necessary skills so they can turn the existing resources into highly creative working environments with minimum investments and to easily and effectively embed digital tools into their day-by-day activity.

6 partners from 6 countries were hosted by IHF asbl in Brussels on 28 November 2018 during the kick-off meeting.
During the meeting, the Partners (from Belgium, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Romania, and Turkey) had the opportunity to introduce themselves and get to know each other in more depth. After the lessons it is a space for a general overview of SLIDE, with the reflection of the intellectual facts and the main activities in the project, in order to improve the understanding of the project and of the future.

The Partners thoroughly analyzed every Intellectual Output to know the outputs to be produced, the objectives to be achieved, the internal deadlines and mutual responsibility.
